Here it comes--thanksgiving. Each day on facebook, I've been posting something for which I am thankful. I had a hard time thinking of something yesterday for some reason... I felt so bad about that. But, I think I am just tired. Having trouble sleeping at night. I wake during the night then can't get back to sleep. I don't feel worried when I wake up. I just can't get back to sleep. Sometimes I journal. Sometimes I think about work. Sometimes I go downstairs and watch TV. And sometimes I get up, get a drink of water and fall back asleep. I'm not really in pain or anything either. Well, my back has needed a couple chiropractor adjustments this week because of some nagging back pain, but I have a way higher pain tolerance than to let that get to me. Ironically Sylvia would have been 9 months old on Thanksgiving. I wish she were here... A perfect meal of mashed potatoes, dressing, squash, break, pumpkin pie--all things that would be nice and mushy for a 9-month old to chew/gum... I am thankful for our family namely Andy, Will, Sylvia and Baby
#3. I am hopeful that I will have a living 9-month-old bouncing on my lap next Thanksgiving. I gotta cut this short. I have a little man bawling that he now wants a bath when in fact he had a short bath earlier this evening. He usually takes a longer one, but he didn't want to even take a bath earlier. Anyhow, I think I've gotten him to forget about the bath by offering cinnamon toast for his snack tonight. I am woman of my word so I better go now to keep up my end of this promise.
Also looking forward to my mom and dad getting here tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with us. Can't wait! I'm excited to make my first Thanksgiving meal for them. Hope all goes well!
Much love,
Beth

Happy Thanksgiving. Sylvia is watching over you from above.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY THANKSGIVING...
ReplyDeleteI had the same thing with Kayden, getting up in the middle of the night and just not being able to fall back to sleep. I truly believe that this is the baby's way of preparing you and your body for the late night or early morning feedings. Enjoy the family!!
Love ya,
Renee
